Woody Harrelson has recently ended his hiatus from smoking marijuana with a little help from his pal and fellow weed aficionado Willie Nelson. The film star, who had stopped smoking marijuana for about two years as part of an extended tolerance break, appeared on the Ellen DeGeneres show earlier this week and openly talked about how he just got back into smoking weed during a poker tournament after being influenced by his good old friend Willie Nelson.
After a particularly good win that night, Nelson tried to convince Harrelson to come back to the dark side via a little peer pressure and handed him a vape pen full of marijuana extract from his very own cannabis company, Willie’s Reserve, to celebrate with. Needless to say, this was an offer Woody could not refuse as he soon inhaled the vapors with delight! After two years of near-teetotaling, actor and marijuana advocate Woody Harrelson has officially ended his prolonged cannabis tolerance break, sparked by a particularly large poker pot and some friendly peer pressure from country music legend Willie Nelson.
In an interview on the Ellen Degeneres show this week, Harrelson said that he had been weed-free for over two years — save the occasional edible, of course — but the temptation of a personally-branded Willie’s Reserve vape cartridge passed along from Willie himself was too hard to turn down.
“I was in a celebratory mood and he hands me that pen and I was just snatched and it was like ‘ah, fuck it,'” Harrelson told Degeneres. “I take a big draw of it and he says ‘Welcome home, son.'”
