Former New Mexico Governor and current Cannabis Sativa CEO Gary Johnson was speaking on a panel last week at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC), when he faked a heart attack on stage to prove a point about marijuana legalization.
Anti-pot proponent Anne Marie Buerkle was also on the panel and was claiming that people have one in five higher chance of having a heart attack after smoking marijuana. That’s when Johnson decided to be that one in five, or at least pretended to be.
As Johnson laid on the ground, Buerkle, who also happens to be the commissioner of the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, said: “You know, I think the governor has had great fun with his humor, but this isn’t funny that we’re putting our kids and the future of this country at risk. It’s not funny. It is something that we as Americans have to pay attention to.”
