The U.S. Open Golf Tournament Is In Washington State This Week…So Can You Light Up On The Putting Green?

Since recreational marijuana is legal in Washington State, an interesting issue has popped up. The U.S. Open golf tournament is in Tacoma at Chambers Bay, so does this mean golf aficionados will be able to use their flower on the fairway?

According to an article in SB Nation, fans are being allowed to come through the security gates with marijuana. If they come to the gates with it, volunteers have been told to let them go through.

But lighting up and getting high is a whole other subject. Even though it’s legal to possess marijuana, it’s illegal to consume it in public. So fans can bring it to the golf course, they just can’t do anything with it.
