It looks that way after New York Governor Andrew Cuomo introduced that Cannabis Regulation and Tax Act last week and urged lawmakers to fast track the bill. A lot of the marijuana tax money the state of New York would collect would likely go to fixing NYC’s public transportation and the Governor projected the state would make $300 million in taxes over the next 3 years.
