Miss Marijuana Pageant

Christine recently read about the Miss Marijuana Pageant but is just not that sure about it.
She loves all things weed because it is a part of the counterculture and includes everyone.
This pageant will award the winner $25 grand and a car, I guess. But, the rules are prehistoric. Please let us know what you think about the Miss Marijuana Pageant and comment below.

The Miss Marijuana Pageant. The Miss Marijuana Pageant. It rolls off the tongue nicely, that’s for sure. That is what we call alliteration in the literary world people. Hi, I am Christine Sclafani for The National Marijuana News and I only recently heard about this pageant and I am just not that sure about it.

I love all things weed, but part of the reason why, is that for me weed is a part of the counterculture and includes everyone. It is something that rails against stigmas, because cannabis and its consumers have been the victim of stigmas for far too long. This pageant will award the winner $25 grand and a car, I guess. But, the rules are prehistoric. Girls must be between the ages of 18 and 30 and unwed. Why exactly can’t a beautiful 35 year-old like me enter, hmm?

The rules also state that contestants must be naturally born females? Excuse me? Why shouldn’t a transgender woman be able to enter the pageant? This is 2019 and cannabis has to be one of the most progressive movements in the country. If a woman wants to enter into a pageant of any sort, there should be no rules prohibiting her. Let the people decide who they think is the most deserving.
