Melissa Etheridge Moderates Sports Panel On CTE, Concussion And Marijuana At CWCBExpo LA

Melissa Etheridge has been very outspoken about her battle with cancer and the use of medical marijuana in helping her to beat the disease. She will moderate a sports panel at the CWCBExpo in LA next week to discuss the medical benefits for pro athletes. Should the NFL and other professional sports businesses ease their policies on marijuana, if used medicinally?

NEW JERSEY: The Cannabis World Congress & Business Exposition (CWCBExpo) is pleased to announce that Melissa Etheridge, Grammy and Academy Award Winning singer-songwriter, will return to the event as Moderator for its thought-leadership panel, “CTE, Concussion and CBD.”  Taking place on Thursday, Sept. 8th, former pro athletes, leading medical researchers and advocates for alternative medicines, will discuss how the use of cannabinoids may help treat and prevent the onset of symptoms associated with CTE and traumatic brain injury. CWCBExpo, September 7-9, 2016, at the Los Angeles Convention Center in Los Angeles, CA, is the leading event for the medical marijuana and legalized cannabis industries.

Joining Etheridge on the “CTE, Concussion and CBD” panel are Nate Jackson, former Denver Bronco and writer; Jake Plummer, Medical Marijuana Advocate and former pro-bowl quarterback; Lorenzo Neal, Co-Host, Morning with Chad, Joe & Lo, 95.7 The Game and former all star fullback; Heather Jackson, Realm of Caring; Marcel Bonn-Miller, PhD, Perelman School of Medicine, University of Pennsylvania; and Riley Cote, Hemp Heals Foundation and former NHL player.  This high-profile panel takes place Thursday, September 8th at 2:30 pm PST.

A cancer survivor, Etheridge has publicly spoken about the medicinal value of cannabis in her recovery and has launched her own line of canna-products including a marijuana-infused wine.

CWCBExpo LA Keynotes include Montel Williams, media celebrity and advocate, and Ted Chung, entertainment and marketing entrepreneur.
