With Summer finally here, many of us are looking forward to spending as much time as possible enjoying the hot summer days and warm summer nights outside. Check out this yummy recipe for marijuana infused sky high buffalo wings sure to make any wing loving enthusiast happy! While we would recommend grilling these, we did include directions for deep frying them if you’d prefer that approach. Do you have any cannabis recipes you’d like to share?

Sky High Buffalo Wings:

Ingredients:
2 pounds of fresh chicken wings (you can still use but will need to thaw them out ahead of time)
Vegetable oil or cooking oil if you will be frying the wings
Red hot sauce (feel free to use your favorite brand)
1 stick or ½ cup of cannabis butter
Ranch dressing and/or blue cheese dressing for dipping

Kitchen tools required:
Gas or charcoal grill or a deep fryer
A kitchen temperature gauge
Cutting board
Knife
Slotted spoon
Paper towels

Instructions:

We’ll want to start off by prepping the chicken itself. Firstly, remove the wing tips and separate the flappers from the main chops. Once that’s done, you may want to pat down the pieces with a paper towel and then place them aside in a bowl so that the can continue drying while you work on the next few steps.

Next, make sure that you preheat your grill or get the cooking oil heated up in the deep fryer if you will be frying up these bad boys instead. Also if you are going to be frying your wings, you’ll want to ensure that there is plenty of room to add the chicken once the oil reaches the desired 375 degrees to avoid having any of them getting stuck together.

Marijuana Recipes: Sky High Buffalo WingsWhen the grill or oil have reached the desired temperature you can begin adding the chicken wings. You’ll want to take a slow, one at a time approach if you are going to be frying them as the oil will be very hot and likely bubbling by now. You also don’t want to add too many pieces all at once or else the oil could spill all over the place creating a mess and possibly burning you. The chicken should be cooked until it reaches an internal temperature of 165 degrees to ensure that are done all the way through regardless of the method being used.

While the chicken is cooking, you can begin putting together our marijuana hot sauce. To do this all you have to do is melt your cannabis butter on the stove or microwave then add to the hot sauce in a a mixing bowl with a 1:1 butter to hot sauce ratio then mix well to combine.

When the chicken has reached an internal temp of 165 degrees, you can remove them from the heat and place them on paper towels to absorb any excess oil if they were fried. Then, move the wings into a large bowl and toss them with as much of sauce as you’d like making sure that all are properly coated. Finally plate up with some carrots, celery, and blue cheese or ranch dressing on the side for dipping and enjoy!
