Jeff Mizanskey Finally Granted Parole

Jeff Mizanskey has been sitting in jail cell serving a life sentence will no parole since 1993. What makes Jeff so different then most life sentence inmates? Mizanskey was given¬†life in prison for 3¬†marijuana charges under Missouri’s prior and persistent drug offender law. This law allows a judge the ability to give out a life sentence after 3 drug felonies. All of Jeff’s charge were cannabis related.

Due to marijuana legalization growing so rapidly Jeff’s lawyer has been able to successfully appeal his case. The Missouri affiliate of the National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws reports that Mizanskey is expected to be released within the next ten to 25 days. The Mizanskey is extremely joyful and can’t wait for Jeff to return home.
