Gayle King: Oprah Winfrey Has ‘Smoked A Little Marijuana’

King Spills The Beans About Her Friend's Experience With Weed

Winfrey’s long time BFF and fellow TV personality, Gayle King, was visiting The Ellen DeGeneres Show last week and talked about a conversation she had with comedian Amy Schumer at DeGeneres’ birthday party a little while back where King admitted that she had never actually tried marijuana before even though she is not opposed to it.

King said she would be game to trying it out with Schumer and also let is slip that her dear friend Oprah Winfrey had ‘smoked a little marijuana’ before. However, King quickly refused to continue the conversation any further and tried to change the topic as she did not want to incriminate her friend more than she had already.

During her first-ever appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show earlier this week, King, 63, opened up about how even though she’s never dabbled with the drug, she’s not staunchly opposed to trying it.

Insisting on helping her out, Schumer responded by saying, “Well, we have to do something about that,” King recalled.

“I would try it, I would try it with Amy, but I don’t intend to do it publicly,” the news anchor continued, before adding that Winfrey “has smoked a little marijuana too, I don’t mind saying. I’m not telling tales out of school.”

With marijuana becoming more and more acceptable around the country and the world in recent years, we’re not surprised at all to hear that some of today’s most famous celebrities have ended up using marijuana at one time or another in their lives. Would you have guessed that someone like Oprah would have dabbled with a little weed from time to time?
