What a great first date recipe!. This simple and clean way of eating has the best of men showing their bro face. Great bread and summer tomatoes are key!

30 minutes Prep: 10 minutes | Cook: 20 minutes | Servings: 2 Servings

– 1 ea Baguette, sliced and toasted
– 1 ea garlic clove
– 2 Tbsp Medicated Oil
– 10 oz Cherry tomatoes, cut in half
– 4 ea green onions, cut small
– 1/4 c chopped olives
– 8 ea Basil leaves, torn

I have been making this dish for about 15 years now. When I was in college we would start off the dinner party with a high note and this sung the right tune ever time for us. We have found the greatest success to this dish is to cut and assemble immediately following the prep. This keeps the flavors of each component vibrant and pronounced.

Bruschetta can be made with a multitude of ingredients. A good suggestion is to keep it under 5 ingredients. This recipe will start when all of the ingredients are cut to a medium dice and mixed only a few times in a bowl. Season with salt and pepper and your medicated oil. Grill your bread or place it under the broiler until it is nice and golden brown.

Warm bread and cool bruschetta mix is the right combination!
