Things are going well for a Colorado-based marijuana themed sandwich shop, Cheba Hut. Minnesota recently approved the company to begin franchising in the state.
According to an article in BizJournals.com, “Cheba Hut offers sub sandwiches in three sizes: a four-inch ‘Nug’ (slang for a cannabis bud), an eight-inch ‘Pinner’ (slang for a small marijuana cigarette) and a 12-inch ‘Blunt’ (slang for a marijuana-filled cigar).” The menu also includes “fresh herbs” (salads), “munchies” (appetizers and desserts), and “cotton mouth cures” (drinks).
Cheba Hut currently has 15 restaurants, mostly settled in western college towns like Colorado, California, Oregon, New Mexico and Arizona. The closest location to Minnesota has been in Madison, Wisconsin.
Anyone interested in becoming franchisee can expect to invest between $204,500 to $408,500. The average Cheba Hut tends to make close to $900,000 annually.
