BREAKING: ‘Charlottes Web’ is Ruled LEGAL to Grow and Distribute in Florida

After last mid-term election’s disappointment, the state of Florida is finally looking hopeful for marijuana reform. Legislators voted 20-14 to legalize the nationally recognized low potency strain called Charlottes Web – which contains high CBD content.

I guess since even Texas is legalizing CBD strains, than all other states feel dumb if they outlaw them, especially when the turn out was 60/40 in FAVOR of marijuana legalization in Florida during the last mid-term elections – which was not enough to pass the measure.

Baynews9.com reports:

Florida’s medical marijuana law cleared a major legal hurdle Wednesday thanks to a state judge’s ruling.

Legislators voted 20 to 14 to legalize the strain of low-potency marijuana known as Charlotte’s Web.

State lawmakers approved the law in 2014. But legal challenges over rules drawn up by the state department of health delayed putting it into effect.

After Wednesday’s ruling, Charlotte’s Web should be available to treat epilepsy in children and patients with advanced cancer by the end of the year.

The judge’s ruling also means the state can begin licensing growers possibly as early as this summer
