An Eye-Opening Visual Covering 30 Years Of Marijuana Acceptance In America

The marijuana industry is growing at an incredibly fast rate and for those that have been embedded in it from the beginning, they are finally starting to see the rewards of their efforts.

The folks at Mic came up with an animated map that shows exactly how long it took to gain a majority acceptance of cannabis in America and why Generation X and millennials are the biggest reason for the change in attitudes.

According to the Mic article, the “past decade has seen support rise to 68{f1d755e3d686d84b3fba3fb9da3bc25d6eb08724c18385fd50146d58c836a6dd} of millennials, 52{f1d755e3d686d84b3fba3fb9da3bc25d6eb08724c18385fd50146d58c836a6dd} of Generation X and 50{f1d755e3d686d84b3fba3fb9da3bc25d6eb08724c18385fd50146d58c836a6dd} of the Baby Boomers in 2015. Only the Silent Generation, those born in the mid-1920s to early 1940s, remain resolutely opposed to marijuana legalization, and states where no reform has been passed at all tend to be in the South and Midwest.”
